Phase 1 Orthodontics.

As per the American Association of Orthodontists it is recommended that the initial initial orthodontic evaluation occur at the age of seven.   At age seven, the first adult molars erupt, establishing the back bite. During this time, we can evaluate proper teeth development or any oral problems such as possible overbite, open bite, or crowding.  Early detection helps promote proper adult teeth development which ultimate prevent more serious problems later.

Second phase treatment is designed for older children who have finished development of their adult teeth.  At this is the time, we would commence process of straightening the teeth and making sure that each tooth fits together properly for a comfortable and healthy bite. Second phase usually involves the use of dental braces or aligners.  Treatment usually takes 12-24 months to complete.
